Custom Lacrosse Heads

departure in 30h

Time for a little summary on the first 4 months, and there are still some things from the past few weeks to report!

Let's start with the Shanghai marathon, all I have not run there, but at least the "Healthrun" of 4.5 km. What was not always easy because there are so knows how to stand the revolving Chinese also just on the street on the phone, or otherwise are simply unpredictable. But it has been fun to walk by the closed off city and finally to see again that the buses stop for a (If you come to visit, "Have respect for the buses that stop NIE for a pedestrian to the front of them the road crossed! Cars are more likely.)

Let the Christmas season to match the activities of the germans School Shanghai. On the one hand there is a Christmas Bazaar at both campuses with mulled wine, waffles and sausages, and some performances of a stock company. Parents have crafted beautiful things that you could buy then. The proceeds will be funded include a box for my Mindstorms NXT AG, THANK YOU!
was on campus last Friday € Jingle Bell Run, teams of two, 20, 30 or 60 minutes to run alternately on the sports field is always a round. There are then mulled wine and crepes, a beautiful event, as candles line the running route. Yesterday we had
still a school-based Christmas party with children and parents, each class resulted from something, my ethics course of the fifth class had written a Christmas play and performed it was a great success.

Last weekend Alex and I at the chocolate buffet at the Shangri-La Pudong. Really fantastic, what was being offered, in addition to a selection of hot food without Kelin chocolate pralines gave it in different flavors. This then still a harp and a flute player, very Christmassy ...

On Sunday there were finally once again Feuerzangenbowle we prepared with colleagues while also saw.

On Tuesday was the annual dinner Inner Circle Shanghai, we were seven of eating Peking duck, there was still about 20 other dishes, including fried scorpions. A delicious snack, but the Peking duck was fantastic.

we come to the résumé of the first four months in Shanghai.
both professionally and personally, I can only say that I am very glad to have this step done.
What is experienced is difficult to put into words, it is so different than what you know. And how can it then try the people who have been left back in Germany to explain? I think many would incomprehension, if not commented with allegations. I can only say: It's different, come and it looks to you, but also in 2 weeks vacation, you can not understand this city, this country. I feel still like I do not understand this so much. If I'm on dme Fakemarkt and have finally negotiated a normal price for something, the seller comes to me like the next piece back with an absurdly high price.
When I click on a four-lane road in the morning at seven am going I do not understand how there is in the middle of the street a Pelon and a concrete worker returns from the road, without notice. Life is different here, very much different. And it is important to know that life is only here, and you are in Germany again behaves differently. But here, in Shanghai, to behave very differently.
I can not even believe I'm sitting on the plane home tomorrow night and I expected a German order and, above all, peace. No street vendors to sell and there is fried rice. The fact that all but one people understand all at once.

I am pleased to see many of you again!
you can reach me on my old phone number and the landline of my parents.
I wish you a Merry Christmas and a Happy (Yeah, I'm Langeoog :-))

And here is an example for China's attempt to do a favor for us Westerners, the tree stands in the foyer of my house:
